The players’ auction was to be held in April, but it has not happened yet. The organizers benefit from the tournament by about Rs 500 crore every year. They get this amount from the sponsor.
Recently the Confederation Federation met with video conferencing regarding the organization of the league. In this, there was a discussion about organizing the tournament in November-December without fans. It has been seven seasons of the league so far.
Event preparation in a city, also 14 days quarantine
The final decision on the event will be taken only after the approval of the Sports Ministry and the Home Ministry. A guideline has also been created for this. According to this, the state where corona patients will be less, will be organized there.
The entire city will be organized without fanfare. All players will be kept for 14 days in Quarantine. Sanitization will also be done during the match.
50 crore to the players while the referee lost 90 million
The league consists of more than 200 players in 12 teams. About 50 crore rupees are spent on auction. If the league is not organized then the players will lose Rs 50 crore. The league has a 5-year broadcasting rights of 150 crores. In this case, a loss of 30 crores is also possible.
The league consists of 30 referees from all over the country. They get 3 lakh rupees per season. If the league is not there, the referee will also not get Rs 90 lakh.
All eyes on IPL event, hope from others
